Hello good afternoon, I'm new here, I've made a 2dof simulator with the help of the entire forum, I have everything ready and tested but today I had a problem, I uninstalled the simtools demo to install the pro for which I paid the license and when trying to install it I get an error that doesn't let me do anything, I've tried opening it in administrator, restarting, downloading different files but I can't find the solution, let's see if someone can help me, thanks

    PD:
    File could not be unzipped,
This is the message I get

Are you using a VPN by chance?
If so try turning it off for the install and see how it goes.

Hello, thanks for helping me. I use a normal connection, just like the first time I downloaded the demo version and without problems. The error came when I uninstalled that version and tried to install the pro version, whichever it is, it gives me an error.

You should not have needed to uninstall simtools, just register the Pro license. So can you please explain exactly what you mean by the Pro version and where you got it from.

Can you also please advise if you are using SimTools v2, or SimTools v3.

As an aside, a file that will not unzip tends to indicate the downloaded file is corrupted.

Can you please post a picture of any errors.

I made that mistake because I didn't know how to enter the activation code. I've tried the v2 and v3 versions of simtools that they send when you buy the paid license, and neither of them lets me, but I also can't install the demo version that I had previously installed again. I don't know what could have happened to the computer.

Hi. I have exactly the same problem, I bought a DIY license and I can't install it. "Update file could not be installed". Could it be a problem with the server?

    This sounds like corrupt files.

If you can try downloading SimTools v3 to another computer, as I suspect the issue is not SimTools but rather your computer: https://simtools.us/wp-content/uploads/v3_pro/repos_pro/SimTools_Installer.zip
