Wow, this game looks impressive. I was curious what WRC meant (when making a request or trying to share information it would be a good idea to elaborate, not everyone knows what you mean). I found myself a new rally game!

WRC is in its 4th iteration, the graphics and physics model look impressive. The reviews that I have read explain that WRC is more of a simulation than are the Dirt series. The price is not bad (39.99 via Steam) but will have to wait until my 6DoF platform is done.

Of course I have not yet played the games, just read a few reviews and watched a few videos. But I would chance 40.00 on it.

I have had the game for quiet a while myself but have not had time to look at it again. I totally agree looks like a cool game and would be a nice edition to the SimTools library.Sorry for any misunderstanding, this is the first request that I can remember for the game.

Nothing to be sorry about, there wasn't any misunderstanding. This is the first time that I have heard of the game myself, in any context.

Which version do you have Rob? From what I have read the new version is much improved over the last.

Another interesting thing is that it seems that WRC4 is highly moddable, with fans creating physics, graphics, car, livery and other mods for it.

No official forum that I can find so far but racing forums (nogripracing.com) has an active forum section dedicated to the game.

One drawback that I have been reading about is that it seems the developers are not johnny on the spot about fixing bugs, releasing updates, etc. So I am in doubt as to how helpful they would be in supporting telemetry output.

Ok that all actually sounds good in a way, being that there are people modding this game then alot of that information actually forms a community made SDK that we may be able to find out any information about getting telementry from this game, I do believe a commercial group (1 from mem) have this list on their site. So it may be possible. More information on what they doing with the models, if making new cars ect that require know how it works the physics from there the actual xyz stuff is close by or with it for model purposes. So we may be able to find out without using a mem hook.
Not actually sure might even be a first release. Downloaded for a test , went ya , and no time, got removed, if they stay I go and buy it.
But with it at that cost on steam, mmmm got an itch tempted.

In the opening credits for the game there is a screen for "DBox Motion Code" so there is telemetry coming out of the game. I sent an email to the developer, Milestone, asking if they could share telemetry with us. Hopefully they will respond to my query.

So far I am impressed with the game, the graphics are not as good as Dirt3 but the gameplay, to me, is better.

I will keep this updated if I hear back from them. But knowing that there is already support for motion is a great sign.

Ok sounds cool , mmm wonder if they do it the same as in dirt3, is there a hardwaresetting file like in dirt3 in the game saves directory.
If there is we can have a plugin up in hours.

There is no file for easy edit like for Dirt3. A guy from xsim forum also asked developer about this and didn't got answer, they didn't even update their game once and there is major problem with Fanatec pedals, huge deadzone and really dumb FFb, just the center spring working, no small details. I had the oposite feeling with WRC4, graphics somewhat better than Dirt3, but gameplay in meaning of driving feel and FFB is worse. But I like the stages in WRC, they are not total wide like in Dirt.

But there are few guys who manage to run WRC3 and 4 with their sims, with memory hook, there were some YT videos too. Memory hook is out od my league, if someone can get in touch with those guys, maybe they're willing to share their knowledge :)

EDIT: It seems that devs did release #1 update for their game two months ago, but that didn't fix anything important neither something about telemetry.

Price is not that bad, while on Steam Store it holds the price of 39,99 Euros, only Steam Key can be bought as for low as 14,50 Euros - http://www.go2arena.com/world-rally-championship-4-global.html

Steam has an occasional 50% off sale as well.

I set a couple of private messages to modders in the NoGripRacing forums and asked if they could help with getting telemetry out of the game. Hopefully one or more will respond with positive information.

    Umm......

Actually, there is a certain amount of personal irony in your post Value1. I have spent the last week rebuilding my farm tractor, lol.

Ha! My neighbor's shop where I am working on the tractor has 20+ years of deer antlers hanging on the walls, I whacked one with a steel pipe (I had to move it out of the way to back the tractor in) and it had fallen onto the front of the tractor. I should have gotten a picture, lol.

I agree, with my Fanatec gear there is little to no feedback in the game. And what is there drops out every so often.

The more I play it the more I agree about the graphics. Especially the environment, and it is great to drive the same (but virtual) roads as the real WRC.

Any chance you could share their names and or contact information with me via PM? I will try to contact them and ask.

I sent an email to the developer but never heard back, nor have I heard from anyone in the modding community :(
