    Hello All!

My name is Kelvin from Ontario, Canada. I have been following your site for a few months now. I can't wait to finish my project and jump on the racing seat. Unlike everyone else, I m not too smart on electronic part of the build. I had completed about 85% of my platform and just hoping for some guidance from the experts...:p

Hello @cyberxu , welcome, please list all details in a thread here http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/ and we can assist you further.regards, David.
P.S. If you are having trouble with electronics side, the guys here may be able to help suggest wiring. I see you are using a K8055, unfortunately, they are not supported by Simtools, so you would need to buy an arduino and use a code from @RufusDufus , @prilad . Failing all that, you could use 2 x JRKs. Choice is yours.

    Hello,

I am a flight sim guy. I've got access to an old 737 simulator that is on a large hydrolic base (3 legs). We have it working manually with some levers and are looking to integrate it with Prepar3D for added realism. The previous owner had integrated 3 Pololu cards. We get some signals using other motion software but the thing would try to break your back whenever lowering the sim's nose.

Looking to see if we can get a smoother experience with other software.

    Welcome Andrew (@Fudge),
Plenty of good advice here mate, Im sure the boys could get it rolling and rocking, SimTools is really nice to use and its very flexible too.

What is the part number for the Pololu cards and are they controlling the solenoids' for the hydraulics. And is this via usb or another card ?

Anyway as @RacingMat has instructed , start a build post or a question post and the right people will chime in and help you for sure, while posting about it you will earn coins and be able do download plugins and stuff nice and quickly.

    Enjoy.

Hi! Awesome, supportive community here. Just a wealth of information from all different views, from all over the world. I'm looking to build a DIY sim for flight/space/racing and catalog the whole thing. I've done some work with robotics and other interesting applications before. I hope to build on this experience and create a guide for other new comers that will serve as a Cliff Notes that helps explain all details large and small. Keep up the good work everyone.

Welcome @furlo8866 , as @bsft has expressed start a new thread(post) in our build section, give us the basic details on your sim, like interfaces (motor controllers) used and others will chime in pretty quickly and help you on your way.
Or take a look at our documentation in the DIY Tut area and you might get it all working by yourself.

Welcome and please ask questions and enjoy.

P.s Asking questions gains you coins from which you can purchase a download package to gain access to our 50+ game plugins.

Hey Taipan! I am Propnut on the Hornetpits.org site (admin). Good to see you over here. There is a growing number of flight sim motion builders here. Let me know if I can help at all. I have a 6DoF project on the back burner that I plan on using for my Hornet simpit.

This is the hardware we have been playing with...
    http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=832
I have had this working with FSX and did a simulated carrier takeoff in the VRS superhornet. It was fantastic fun, but we are a long way from getting all 6 platforms running though. The old Namco stuff ran on SGI workstations and we have no interest in getting them running.. Much prefer to use new software with photo real scenery.

The machines in use are old, with ISA DAQ cards from measurement computing - CIO-DAS08 and CIO-DDA06 . They are running some old VB based software that I am keen to replace, but these cards are a little messy to program. I am hoping this software will allow me to write my own I/O drivers. I have some C++ skills but I really need a few examples to nut it out fully.

The VB software I have has no washout filters and that's my main problem at the moment. At least I have the source code and VB is really easy..
