    Hello all.

I am still in doubt, this is why I am posting here asking for help.

    1. Is it possible to use, without any risk, a rig from SIMXPERIENCE with SIMTOOLS ?
(I currently own a stage IV series).

    2. If so, does it automatically detect the controller and you just have to configure the actuators? or how does it work ?

    Thank you.

Works great.......been using it with simtools since Value1 set up the scn5s for it. I use it exclusively with simtools for all my flight sims. Can't use it for my racing sims with simtools, so have to go back to original Simx for Asseto Corsa. Set up the actuators and dial in your own preferences. It won't cause any damage just make sure you set max limits to 95% to not overdrive the actuators. Which you need to do in simX as well if you make your own individual profiles....if I remember correctly (its been Awhile). If you need help msg me or ask questions in this post.

    My settings 2DOF
    In Game engine>>Interface settings
    Output type>>select SCN
    Interface 1>>Com3>>Packet rate 8>>Assigned Axis--Axis 2
    Interface 2>>Com4>>Packet rate 8>>Assigned Axis--Axis 1
Interface 3 should be your slide/drift and should be Com 5 I assume.
Your coms may vary....check in device manager for SimXperience com settings and use same.
    I set Speed about 1/2...ie 10076 ea
Acceleration 500 (I use these speed and Accel for my flight sims...usually higher for car racing sims.

    Nice setup !
Let me ask you. How and why do you use Simtool instead of Simcommander?

about your profile in X-plane during a turn (left / right) your seat should return to the upright position. Plane, when the turn is well coordinated, there is no lateral force. There is a lateral force only when the turn is not coordinated (skid in Turn ). The little ball in the "Turn & Bank" show you how you perform/feel in the turn) . You will feel a force too when you initiatiate the turn.

I just want to know the other way around ?

I took over a second hand early starter kit from simexperenice but I can't get simcommander 3 to work.
I had contact with Bernie and Kevin and got a simcommander 3 licence key but I can't get simcommander 3 to work with my simulator.
Bernie says that there were several different starter kits in the beginning and he doesn't know witch one I have, Even do I gave him the simxperince serial numbers of the actuators.

So I am very interested what is inside the SX3000 box ?
Anybody of you SX3000 owners can tell me ?

I followed those directions and have tried many other combinations, but I get nothing. No error from the simtools software, nothing. I see the actuators in device manager, but I still cannot get anything to move.

Can someone please help me out? Thanks!

EDIT: I have an SX4000, in case that matters

Hi . Is it working ok with SimXperience software at the moment. Sometimes mine would just stop with Simxperience as well....usually unplugging the box and usb and doing a reboot and re plugging it all back in would fix the problem. It would also happen occasionally with Simtools and I would do a reset and reboot as above then verify it working with simXperience first before moving on to check if working in Simtools. Mine is all packed up ready to move house so I cant go through it with you until I am set up in next couple of weeks in my new house. I can go through settings as they are still in my software if I am not on the road over the next few days. Cheers Macka

Thanks so much for the quick response!

My simx has actually never needed what you described, that is to be rebooted. Also I did reboot the computer/unit a few times tonight :( Also throughout the night I would start up the simcommander software just to make sure things were working and it worked no problem.

    Thanks again for the help!

Really dumb question but I'll ask anyway. You haven't got simcommander running at the same time as simtools by any chance.
I imagine that would cause issues.
