The accelerations are certainly realistic. However (because it's only a 3DOF) the rotations are by far too much. You will certainly feel such strong g-values in a car when driving but in this simulator you will feel too much motion. With a 6DOF one could compensate the rotations - not with only 3 axis though :(

Whens the last time a car actual moved like that?
Its not to represent movement, its a WILD ride to attract attention.
I have a friend whom saw this video, then had me build him a 2DOF with 18 deg total throw thinking it was right, and when he actually got the sim, he found it was too much.
This is more a real set profile for the 401

Way to much pitch and roll. Aside from feeling really unrealistic I can imagine it would cause a certain amount of motion sickness after a period of time too.

Fail for motion profile. Typical commercial fail. lol,
    Nice machine but way off.

Too unrestrained movement for my taste and prolonged use makes me headache .... I think it is much more realistic simulation of the video posted BSFT then if we talk about the cost of 25,000 Euros  is too much money (my personal opinion )

From my experience the more motion I can convey using my surge, traction loss tables and heave module the less I have to move the seat in pitch and roll and the more realistic it all becomes. Saying that this sim would be good for aircraft.

Very rare to see this kind of 360deg. rotating DOF, is it worth it? Maybe traction loss is more important.

While I haven’t tried either, I would think that traction loss would provide a more valuable type of feedback myself. I have a 3dof platform with surge, sway, and heave. I can’t see how having continuous 360 yaw added to it would be of any benefit when a driver is setting in the center of rotation at least. If a driver were sitting a ways forward from the center of rotation though, then it could be useful for sway feedback however. If a driver were sitting behind the center of rotation, then it would feel like traction loss.

Very hard to figure it out without testing, we have to follow the mainstream :)
The inner ear is very sensitive to rotation though.

that sort of setup would make a great mechwarrior sim.

I can't get over the fact that people are smart enough to build this sort of motion sim, but they are not smart to realize this motion profile is not a good/realistic race simulator! lol
