    New motors and gearboxes received !
    I take this opportunity to build new mounts for the motors. They will be made with steel of 4 mm thick that I'll bend to obtain a right angle. A double bracket system should allow me to get a stable result.
    Brackets should be finished tomorrow. Photos will follow ...

    As you are remaking the mounts anyway have you considered moving the motors out a bit further and having the rod connections higher on the frame for better leverage?

    I think i'm going to make something like this :

    On the left, what I first planned to do : fixed from below, lower rod size
    On the right, what I think I'm really going to do : fixed 20 cm above and motors 20 cm further forward but slightly less spaced

    On the right sounds a much better idea, though if you went outside rather than closer inside you could also get some inclination of the rods leaning inwards rather than going straight up and down.

    Setting the motors in closer together, depending on how far they are from the pivot, with more or less give you more roll or more sway.
    My foot motor was 700mm from pivot, but motors were spaced 450mm apart. Short surge, big roll. Desk racer, motors were 180mm from pivot , but 250mm apart, so small sway and big surge.

    The brackets are now folded. Without fixing them, they keep perfectly balanced the motor and gearbox.

    What is the center to center distance on the lever, it looks around 40-45mm?

    That should work fine along with the higher rod mount point in tossing you around.

    I was advised to align axis of the ball-joint with axis of the gimbal. In this case, the position of the ball-joint is imposed to me.
    I will test in any case the two solutions.

    I made a bracket for the potentiometer attached to the motor's one.

    The locations for attaching the drive shaft and the engines were prepared. The fasteners are made with bolt screws whose heads are embedded in the support.

    It only remains to screw them.

    The gimbal is then secured to the aluminum frame.

    Once attached to the support plate, the brackets allow engines to remain perfectly stable, regardless of the load.

    Next step: convert a box to receive the supplies and controller cards, all of which must be properly ventilated. The box will be fixed between the motors so as to minimize the cable lengths (potentiometer / controller board and controller board engine).
