For months I thought my projectors did not match the best picture quality in Assetto Corsa. The higher and better the graphic settings the "worse" the quality effect in combination with a poor performance. But now I know they could better.

Especially the shadows have been ugly and seemed to be applied with glue onto the track.

Using the NVIDIA inspector and setting the AA Transparency Supersampling to 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling eliminates the jaggies and misformed shadows.

More about NVIDIA releated grahpic settings you will find here:

projectors would surely loose image quality as you are sending light to a screen a distance away.

I use AMD cards to match my processor and run it flat out , looks cool indeed.
Heaps of add on tracks available at RaceDepartment too if you hadn't found them yet, Top Gear Test track , good fun.

Its a little bit off, but I will try to explain the differences:
LCD offers a range of sizes from 14 inches up to over 55 inches. The size of the projector image projected is variable and ranges from 30-250 inches and more. The viewing angel of a LCD is typically limited up to 175°. Using projectors the viewing angle is no issue. The low amount of light the screen reflects makes the image brighter in everyday situations. Projectors can handle up to contrast ratios of more than 50,000:1, which is almost good as LCD. LCDs have low refresh rates while projectos pixel response time is not even part of a specification. At least my projection board has no monitor borders instead of any monitors they have.

This is a nvidia thread if that may potentially not really clear :p. (joke)

Your projector is 3D DLP Link or you use a 3D Vision compatible ?
Is Iz3D good for ATI on 3D DLP?

If you are presumably referring to the mines, I use a 3d vision hack and I am using (real) LED projectors non 3d vision certified. I have no experience on ATI cards.

I have a Nvidia card and my projector is not 3D vision capable.
So you say I can play in 3D with my 3D DLP monitor and my Nvidia card ???

Probably yes, probably no. You need an EDID hack.
Both. My DLP active shutter glasses work better than the Nvidia one.

    wooow you interested me.
    I resume :
I have a GTX 970, but my projector is a viewsonic PJD
7820HD which is not 3D vision capable.
I can activate 3D stereoscopic in nvidia panel to use my 3D DLP projector with my DLP glasses?
    What is EDID hack ?
I have the driver iz3D in the installation CD but it is not necessary ?

thank you for your answer (Nota: if you prefere I write in french and translate in google because my english is poor, you can tell me to do that)
