    Hi guys,
Just starting on the electronics going to run SMC3 with 2 x MMs I have 2 x HP DPS600 server power supply's the 12v line runs at 47A and the motors I have are 23A is it ok to just power both MM/motors with 1 PSU? Or should I use the both PSU's one for each MM/Motor ?
    Regards

The new motors are in a whole different league @Daguru. What ratio are the gearboxes?

Have you settled on a design for your sim, shoulder mount seat shaker, full frame or something else?

@noorbeast i have changed my mind so many times but now I think I'm going for shoulder mount seat mover which is going to be a cut and re weld of my static rig and as for gearbox ratio I have a choice the ones in the pic is 60:1 and some second hand 50:1 came up on eBay so I grabbed them also :grin

There are plenty of good examples of member shoulder mount designs to follow. By the sounds of how many motors you have you could could consider adding traction loss as part of the build, or at some later time as an addition.

Yes @noorbeast traction loss is a future plan, im going to mod my static rig just because of the lack of time i have right now but i do plan a full 3DOF maybe for the summer:)

There is a big difference in size between the two engines, one does not believe like that. The gear reducer is what the matter?

Not used it under load yet just tested on the bench (I picked these up cheap off eBay ) so had no choice with what hand they were .

So I have 2 pairs of motors 1 pair of 60:1 and 1 pair of 50:1 which set should I run with on a shoulder mount seat mover I'm about 200lbs (90 kg) ?

    Thanks in advance
