Any increase on the angle will help the actuators and overall speed of them. Cool.
Limited space suxs but you have one hell of a nice unit squeezed in there.

I have a SCN6 simulator, but it's a full frame mover and the actuators are almost vertical. I had just few issues: the first was was straight out of the box, one actuator had a little more play than the other. The second is the centering phase when you start the software that fails if you put some load on them and it goes crazy (just one actuator had the issue thou) with other software the problem vanish (we are diggin on that), anyway, leave the rig alone and everything works. No issue other that that. The actuators are set with 90% axis, full speed and little acceleration (it makes them a lot smoother).

    Thanks for the reply guys,

No play on either of the SCN6 acculators. I can sit in the rig without the rods of the acculators moving.(without powering them on) When i push i can move the left acculator, but the right one doesn't move at all. So there is a small difference there.

I did have no idea how good the motion would be and especially the feedback from roadbumps and curbs was something that exceeded all expectations.

Tried to make a video, but it's impossible to catch the screen and the motion seat in one video at the same time because there is no room behind the seat. I will try to find a camera that has a wider angle.

    Thanks,

No video yet. Like mentioned above at the moment it's not possible to capture both motion seat and screen in one frame. First i will start to enjoy it and will try to find to make a video later with another wider angle camera. ( maybe with the AccuForce too)

I also have an awkward space for video, but not as confined as yours @HoiHman , so have been experimenting with camera/video solutions. I suggest you try using Open Broadcaster Software, it is free and can capture and record from multiple mixed sources at the same time, like the game window and a web cam on a long usb cable: https://obsproject.com/

That way you can record the screen play but shoot the sim from the side. It is worth a shot and we would all appreciate the video.

    Thanks @noorbeast :)

That's a very good idea, it will look into that. But like said before: It first time to enjoy the result of all the hard work.

One other issue: I have policy that i don't want to be recognisable on video on the internet, so i have to find a work around for that too. Still i really want to put out a video, since i have already solved so many issues i'm very confident i will find a way to do this

By all means do enjoy some play time first, you have really earned that!

When you do get around to shooting the video OBS can capture the screen recoding and a webcam could be set low to capture the seat moving, without showing yourself. The two can then be a composite video. It is the movement in relation to the screen action that members here will find interesting.

Very good idea for the video.
I agree with noorbeast, what is interesting is to have the image and the movements of the cockpit to see the reactions of the simulator compared to action

Yeah capturing simulator movement together with the game footage is what i will be aiming for, couldn't capture both so i will give it a go with OBS

Looking at what he would have spent on it and some of its design flaws due to the space restrictions, I doubt it:).

Are you a conspiracy theorist, just paranoid, or both @bsft? :D If he does want to commercialize and was smart about it, he would be better off showing his face and hiding his design since even showing a picture of it publicly may disallow patenting in some countries.
