I just downloaded the sims tool V1.3, DCS and FSX plugins. I unistalled sims tools and reinstalled the new update version V1.3 and plugins, now when I try to connect with the game I get this : see attached file. I don't want to run in admin mode and I don't understand how to do what the message says???? when I was using the early version V1.2, I did not need to run in admin mode. Is there some way I can get the early version to reinstall?? I am getting very flusterated over this whole motion stuff~!~!!

The message your seeing is only with FSX, as that zip file is the only one that contains the file mentioned.
Copy the "SimTools_GameManager.exe.config" from the FSX zip file you downloaded, and put it in the Game Manager folder.

I don't have or can't locate that folder(Game Manager Folder). Where would I look for it?
    Terry.
    Thanks for the quick respond.

yobuddy, I found that folder on my system c:\Program Files (X86)\Sims Tools.,and did a copy and paste to desktop and dragged it into that folder. I re-patched the game (FSX) and got the same message. The good news is that I was able to patch DCS and the game worked for motion. I realty wanted to have that game (DCS) working using two computers with a crossover cable but after a week and many, many hours I was "UNABLE" to make that happen using Sims Tools. What should I do next to get FSX working???

    Thank You

No, I tried that. The game did not show up in the Sim Tools Manager so then I tried to install (drag and drop) the game plugin zip folder into the game and it would not let me do that either. The point is that I did not need to run this program in admin before I started to set this up using two computers. Now I am back to one computer and unable to access motion using FSX.

Try with running GameManager in admin mode for the patching. Once patched you can run the GameManager in standard mode again.

    Hi @terry wells

    1) Run "SimTools_PluginUpdater.exe" which you can find in the SimTools installation directory:
    Directory.png

    2) Drag'n'drop the DCS_Plugin V3.zip and the FSX_P3D_Plugin.zip (without unpacking) over to the running "SimTools_PluginUpdater.exe"
    InstallPlugin.gif
    3) Close "SimTools_PluginUpdater.exe"
    4) Right-click on "SimTools_GameManager.exe" and "Run as Administrator"
    5) Patch both games DCS and FSX.
    6) Run "SimTools_GameEngine.exe"
    7) Run the game.
    8) If you click in the right-hand side bottom on your Windows desktop on the arrow, a small window will open, allowing you to open Tuning Centre.
    TuningCentre2.jpg
This Tuning Centre window allows you to watch if data is streaming in from the game.

Idid all the above and all worked untill I got to #5./No go. see attachments and also. I did another uninstall and re install and when I try to remove the patch, it won"t allow me to do so. I have the game installed C:\program Files (X 86) FSX At this time I am hoping to have the games (FSX and DCS) connecting to motion. 0ne PC.

The directory c:\user\(yourPCname)\AppData might be hidden and you can manually enter the path in windows explorer.

To show hidden files open My Computer and then open a drive. In windows 7 at least you select Organize and then Folder and Search Options from the menu. Then click on the View tab. In Advanced settings look for Hidden files and folders and select Show.

Click into the line that ends with "Terry ▶" and type c:\users\Terry\AppData\Local\SimTools\GameManager\GamePathSaves
    That should work too.
