what a silly construction. No racing sim anyway, better saying a county fair action...but the builder is genius :)

Thanks to God on any way ... I'm speechless and so sad :( ...
    I had a disaster last week ...
My almost finished simulator is burnt down to the bottom and everything evaporated or melted ...
I was not allowed by the fire department to go and inspect my simulator or what is left of it ...
I managed to take this video just today ...

That is so frustrating and I'm sorry for the total mess in the video .

That is a tragedy beyond words @speedy, with the only up side being that I presume nobody was hurt.

Do you know anything about the circumstances as to how the fire started?

Thanks @noorbeast yes every one is OK ... and @cthiggin That was my friend's atelier as mentioned in post 32 ...
Fire Department said what caused the fire is the dried roofing plants or whatever is called and the extreme sun with aid of the polyester vapor even in good ventilated area like this ...

So there was nothing you could do about it and your sim had nothing to do with the fire itself.

I can't image what it feels like to lose such a unique project, the time and care that went into building it.

Without a doubt your sim was a rare blend of ingenuity and originality @speedy.

Thanks for including the photos, it must be hard just looking at them right now but your build thread stands as a testament to what you achieved.

oh no @speedy what a tragedy! My warmest wishes to you and your family. BTW I am very often thinking about fire while the rig is moving but not while it is off. We all should use more cautious in future that it will never happen.

Thanks very much My friends for pulling my spirit up ... :)
What a loss !!!.. I still can't believe my eyes when I'm looking at the video again ...
OMG , The motor fan evaporated and the cooling fins melted down ...

    vlcsnap-2015-06-02-23h12m57s435.png vlcsnap-2015-06-02-23h49m48s162.png

There was NO electrical components with the simulator chassis like computer, VFD's, LCD screen, G27, all this stuff was stored in my place to keep them safe from dust ....
I presume the fire started with some of the remaining polyester in one of the disposed polyester cans like in next picture with a lot of sun which caused it to start reacting and self ignite OR explode ...

    vlcsnap-2015-06-02-23h15m01s514.png

The fire was on the past week friday and it is the weekend and no one was there until neighbours saw the smoke cloud rising in the sky with huge flames ...

Take care of safety precautions ... my advice now .
My hard work is on that burnet simulator chassis ...

I can only say what a sad story and i feel for you with this issue and i do hope with what you have saved you can put it all behind and move on build the next one.
You put so much effort and time into it and money that it ended in disaster this way was very cruel indeed.
Sorry to read all this :-(

Wow Speedy; I am so sorry. I have been so wrapped up in my own world this last year that I did not notice what happened. I hope that by now you have been able to recover some of what was lost.

Really sad, @speedy! It was such a nice built! Do you still have the molds and the motivation to start over again?
