You could just make a box style enclosure around them but do plan for airflow, as the motors generate heat.

The motors themselves create heat when pushed hard, but you could build an enclosure for them as long as you maintain good airflow.

I see that probably si better to install a return spring... Maybe is not correct a gas spring but a normally spring... Have you some ideas about it? Thanks a lot

Hi boys..yesterday i finally tested my rig with pj cars...i have been some problems with configuration between pj cars and simtools, but with some job i have done it....now after the tests i do some consideration....the roll is very good...very realistic...but the pitch is not very realistic...i mean that when i change gears, i would some feedback ( that is minimal now) or when i brake i think that the rig must pitchs more that it pitchs now....maybe the problem is the car that i choose for the test (F1)...What do you think?

Pitch is going up and down hills, I think what you are looking for is in surge

Thats why I suggest as per @eaorobbie instructions to do one force at a time to get the feeling right

Pitch and surge can somewhat cancel each others effects so it is a bit of a balancing act but concentrate on getting surge sorted first, then experiment later with pitch.

I tune surge to be a snappy motion and , if you have setup a balanced Axis Assignment they will never equal each other out.

    For example -
Roll 25% Pitch 25% Sway 20% Surge 20% Heave 10% so a total of 100% of the Axis is assigned, assigning over 100% of the axis total will result in the loss of motion cues. So when travelling up a steep hill the Pitch will be at its max and with move the lever to 25% of its max or min position and when you change gear or hit the breaks the Surge will use its 20% of the range, so its motion cues will always be felt by the driver. Same relates to the Roll and Sway.
Heave is a tricky one, as we can only simulate it , not reproduce it on a 2DOF sim so I assign 10% which is only a very small movement then tune the tuning centre with tight values (closer to 0 the tighter(faster) the movement further away it loosens (slows) ) on heave and it gives an extra thump when jumping and the road surface feeling livens right up.

So careful tuning of each Force separate will help you decide what is right for you.

Hi borse.. This week i have spend some times to set my rig... And the oculus dk2.. My first impression is a great object.. The second is that the risolution isn t sufficent... And i don t know if is a risolution problem or another tipe of problem but after 10 min i have a great sickness sense ...
