    Hi,
I'm from the US and currently based abroad. I have some knowledge of software, hardware and some mechanical design.
I think I want to build a motion simulator.
I'm still figuring my way through this site.
    regards

    Welcome @Lgars39 and @jhon

By all means post in your native language but please do also include an English translation via Google Translate. It saves other members time trying to work out who may need help and who is just posting a comment.

We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language group so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

There is a specific section for native language based social interactions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/#international-social-chats-and-conversations.155

You will find a very active community here who give freely of their time and expertise.

    Good luck with your projects.

    Hi from Brisbane, Australia.
It's been a few years since I heard about these sims but have never had room for one but I've recently moved and now I'm keen to give it a go. I've read through quite a few posts and the info and collaboration here is amazing! Thanks go out to everyone :)

    Hi

I'm Tony (a french guy) and I just begin the BIG adventure : to make a 2DOF seat for car race games.
So I'm a novice, all the mechanic part has been made by my cousin and now we are trying to interface rFactor 2 with Simtools in order to make our seat 'alive'.

    Our configuration is : 1 PC + Simtools + 1 Arduino UNO + 1 Sabertooth 2x25 v2 + 2 wipers motors

    See you on this site
    Tony

    Hello community,

I get started the implementation of 2DOF and has just changed my setup Xsim+K8055 against Arduino+ SimTools, this is the right choice is not it?
after the installation, I can move the motors in the module Output Setting, But in game running "game data input" are to zéro. Firewall and antivirus off.
I did not find the solution, can you directed me please. I sorry for the translation, but it is the fault of google translate, he does not know speak English well !!;)

    Welcome @Dronneau.Y.

I am not sure what you mean because of Google Translate but I think you want to change from Xsim to SimTools. If so start a new thread and post pictures of all your settings and what game you are using.

Please do post your questions in a dedicated thread, rather than the welcome thread.

I suspect the issue is the language settings of your computer @Dronneau.Y : http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/udp-games-produce-wrong-output-data.21/

Once you have data output then run base setting for the Tuning Center and tweak your motion profile from there: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/set-base-tuning-motion-values-in-the-tuning-center.122/

    Hi Guys,

I'm Jesse from Melbourne, Australia. I've been browsing your site for a while now and have been amazed at all the amazing simulators people have made.
So much so that it inspired me to get started on my own!

I've done a bit of electronics in the past as well as engineering and fabrication but this will be the biggest project ive taken on before.

I shall be putting up a build project of it soon. Just thought id say Hi first!!

    Cheers.
