    Idea :nerd ... please put a scale under your feet plus a similar total weight to measure how much force do you need from the pinion to push/stop/reverse this beauty .

    @speedy thank you very much.
    Concerning the radial torque I don't have any other information as already given.
    Regarding the weight or force to push the sway table I can do it with one finger... :) I would compare it with a shopping cart. Furthermore there is "no" noticeable rolling resistance. NTL I am afraid that the motors will be the limited factor despite of the power of 260W / layer. Anyway I like trial and error...

    PS: the specs say 130W continuous but 6.9A max = 165.6W (24V) x 2 = 331.2W peak / layer. IMO should be enough.

    please test and try and consider the fast side to side movements will require more than one finger :) .

    hehe - of course not if the rest of the rig stands on the table . The one finger test was only an example how much force is needed to push the empty tables.

    A newer model - IMHO I should achieve the estimated speed without big issues. The professional rig seems to be not as fast as I imagined.

    with m = 150 kg
    v = 1 m/s
    t = 1 s

    P = 75 W
    add the friction and the efficiency factor and 150 W should be enough.

    Wow, @value1 your are a great guy, I am highly pleased:cheers 1m/s is really fast, the table has a max. speed of ~36cm/s. It is very important, how the weighty mass will be accelerated - if it would be too sluggish all effort would not be worth the investment of time and money.

    Mine used a single 200W motor - it moved quick enough - there was also a bit of weight in it at the end with a heave module built into the seat (although I don't think it was ever as heavy as yours). Notice how it is moving forward for braking, as this felt the best with no working washout.

    Nice build! ay @yobuddy promised, we will fiddle out the washout filter. How far is the surge table moving? 50cm (20 inches)?

    I understand what you're saying but just a clarification
    It's not really about speed... but acceleration.
    - Uniform speed (m/s) won't give you any feelings
    - You have to aim good acceleration (m/s²) because this will give you the gForces​

    I stay tuned to your post and progress :)

    Electronic parts are up and running, all successfully tested. The Pololu VNH5019 are high quality samples, the chips are totally flush to each other, nothing to compare to all MMs I ever had.

    The first layer is "ready", only the PSUs have to be reconnected on the layer and the second motor, too (to be functional), so be patient this evening I will present you the first moves :p -
