Hello dudes, I am looking for a relatively cheap wheel and pedals, the Driving Force GT Logitech is getting hard to find and the G27 is still too expensive, unless I catch a sale price.
Im looking for a budget wheel and pedals, preferably with FFb and the cheaper thrustmasters dont have that.
    Any suggestions please?
    Cheers, David.

From my experience (thrustmaster RGT FFB Clutch Edition... its an old model like the newer t100) the most important thing to consider when buying a low end thrustmaster wheel is the 270° rotation limit.

Brake pedal on thrustmaster wheelsets have been upgraded with two springs (as i can remember) for "more" progressive feeling.

As for the feel, it is OK for formula and gt cars but difficult for street cars rally and oval races (due to the mentioned rotation restriction).

Another thing to consider is that low end thrustmaster wheels use small motors and reduction gears plus toothed belt to rotate the steering wheel.

While I prefer the belt transmission mechanism from the direct gear mechanism of g27... the reduction gears give a strange "heavy weight" feel and produce a certain noise on abrupt movements.

Older thrustmaster wheels used to have 8-bit resolution 256 values (0-255).

If I remember more I ll post later.

Thanks @pipis2015 , The DFGT is a really good wheel, and yes a little old ,a nd the G27 is now getting hard to find as well. Much as Id like the G290, I cannot justify $500 for a gift for my son.
I have looked for 2nd hand DFGT and G27 and everyone is pricing them like collectors items.
Hence looking into Thrustmaster wheels. But even then I have to spend over $300 AU to get a decent product.
    Cheers, David.

Thanks @pipis2015 for the links, that helps a ton. As you may know, theres a zillion reviews and videos out there.

EDIT, the T150 is $400 AU here in this sunburnt country.....ergh...
    there goes the "cheap" option
I will wait for a special for the G920 Id guess, they retail for $400-$500. Meanwhile I will chase up a 2nd hand Logitech wheel.

I see you're based in sydney. I've gone to the g27 and I still have 2 older wheels lying round collecting dust. the original driving force with 180 degree steering and a driving force pro with 900 degree. not sure if the original one is even worth money anymore but u can have the driving force pro for $40 if you're interested. if I remember correctly, on my driving force pro the paddle shifter would occasionally jump gears (when u press up a gear it would go up 2 gears) and the pedals had a problem where when u press the accel the brake also comes on a little. could just be a matter of the wires inside but you're welcome to try it out before hand if you're interested. pretty sure the force feedback was still fine.
