Thank you very much for reminding me.
Try modified, it may be one in which I missed.
I change all the settings again for the United States, SimTools normal work. I hope the next version SimTools can fix the error locale.

Just wanted to say that I am impressed about your work guys, the patience and commitment for every user, just read the whole 38 pages . I am also building a sim and I wanted to use the JRK`s 12v12 but sadly with holidays coming I can`t get them until end of Januar and it is to late for me, I don`t have patience until then :).

Reading this whole thread I am inclined to use @RufusDufus software and Arduino Uno V3 but again I have issues with Motomonster, delivery at January end , In case that I cant get Motomonster what other Pololu bridges you recommend ? Dual VNH5019 Motor Driver Shield for Arduino, one for each motor ? Is compatible with SMC ?
My gearmotors specs are 12 V, 3000 rpm with a gearbox of 30:1 , 180 W nominal, 240W load , load current 30 A but I estimate that I will have 40 A+ in sim use . Simulator will be shoulder mounted and with traction loss, three Dell Server PSU`s 2950.

    @RufusDufus , @Pit you have done a great work here !!!

Please check if the wiring attached is ok for Arduino and Pololu Dual VNH 5019

    Thanks. Pololu VNH5019 and Arduino.jpg

Sorry for the triple post but I can`t edit it anymore.
Just found on Pololu page something interesting and it seems that my wiring is faulty :(
Here is the link from Pololu : https://www.pololu.com/docs/0J49/7

    Maybe someone can help.

Yes, it is. I used them successfully 2 months ago or so. They are limited by drawing current, 15A continuous and 30A peak (single bridge mode) is the maximum
IMO the VNH5019 are too weak to handle the high current peaks in the long run, f.eg if you prefer aggressive settings.

After a short conversation with @Pit I decided to go with Arduino and MonsterMoto .
I ordered from ebay from a recommended shop : 2x Arduino Uno, 4x Monster Moto, heatsinks, fans, breadboard, wires all kind of colours.
Until I get my hardware I will follow the forum. At the moment I am strugling with a sim design, I will open another thread in the forum.
    Thank you guys.

Can anyone verify this if this plan will work? Thanks in advance!.
    I have 3 x IBT_2 and arduino uno

The very first thing which I determine there is no GND from the Arduino to the bridge.

Wiring-3-Motors.jpg Wiring-3-Motors_plus_5v_power.jpg Common ground. Original drawing upgraded. Should I use them. I read about ground loops. Hence I thought extra power 5v. But then this is better.

I'm in my way of making a DIY Arduino UNO shield Opto-Coupler for interfacing VFD's with AC motors ...
and using the SMC3 Arduino 3DOF motor driver code "In the default Mode 1" .

like this picture ... the opto-coupler pcb will be like PCI card shaped for easy mounting it inside the PC .
    2.jpg

Arduino is installed in the back of the PCI shield ... the components side of the opto-coupler is surface mounted .
    3.jpg

The key question for me now is :
-Option 1: to have a DB-25 connector with a TC adapter for wires in the back of the computer ?
    5.jpg

-Option 2: using the phone RJ11 phone jack and the stereo jack for easy future ready made cabling ?

    6.jpg

What is the most available easiest option that you may all like ?

    Edit :
Or you may like both versions ? :D

    Speedy,
After looking closer and thinking more about it, I like your option 2. Seems more up-front and the easiest for all, especially non-technical diy folks.

Thanks so much for all of your hard work and efforts to help us in the AC arena.

    Blessings,

    Tom
