You really need to go through the error dump file to work out the trigger, which could be any number of possibilities: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff557235(v=vs.85).aspx

The WDF_VIOLATION can happen during an upgrade where you attempted to do a clean install?

Not sure of the history of your setup. Did you upgrade from Windows 7/8? If so, if it has been less than 30 days, you can recover back to Windows 7/8 and re-try...

Uninstall and reinstall simtools (for start).
This fixed my simtools crashing problem in the past.

May have to do with updates and permissions as said above.

No, that is something only @yobuddy, the SimTools developer, could hazard a guess at. And it is likely that it is way too early for even him to know yest, as fully developing transducer support would likely not be finished until after the next version of SimTools has been completed, and that is some way off yet.

@Milton Amaya , no problem discussing both software here :)

I use both without any issues at all. Let me know if you do decide to go with SimVibe and if I can help at all. Depending on the game that you are using I have some profiles that I found online that work really well. If you are a EuroTruck Simulator 2 player I have a great profile that really lets you feel the engine/road, etc. I also have a couple of really good ones for iRacing.
