    Welcome @cazsan.

You have come to the right place for DIY motion simulation software, information and support from a very active community. We also have many active French members.

Have a look at existing member builds for ideas and inspiration, it could well help you refine what you may like to do for your own project: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You will find the FAQ section covers some more specific topic areas, like types of simulators, designs and motors: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

We have a glossary for all those pesky acronyms we tend to use, which will help you decipher some descriptions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Feel free to ask questions, there is a very active community here that is good at giving tips during planning, reviewing purchase lists, giving feedback and encouragement during the build and providing advice on actually sorting out motion profiles.

    Good luck with your project.

Thank you @noorbeast for this welcome message. I got it right.
I already seen some of the members that are french but I'll talk mainly in english here as the forum main language.
For sure, asap my project is on the rails, I'll share all of my thoughts and ideas so these informations will be helpfull to other members as the one I can find here will be helpfull for me.
Right now I just started to plug arduino and TM1638 to get display but I need to dig more in the code I found to get it as complete as I expect.

    Thanks again and see you.

Hi, new member here. My name is Dan from Alabama. I hate to reinforce the Alabama stereotype, but my current setup is actually just a beach chair with a couple of 2x4's over the arm rests. I'm using a Momo Force wheel and Logitech joystick for control, Oculus Rift DK2 for display and buttkicker for that extra little bit of realism. I recently upgraded the old slippers used as vibration dampers with real rubber furniture pads. I'll post a picture when I start my build thread.

I've enjoyed driving and flying sims for years. The kids have been enjoying the DK2 for roller coaster sims as well. I've always wanted to build a real motion cockpit, so it's exciting to see the work that has been done by the members on this forum. I can't believe it's taken me this long to find it.

This is what I've got so far. It's done great for what it is. Zip ties to hold the stick to the frame and cardboard for the head tracking camera. Quick and simple, but a little difficult to get in and out of.
Lots of fun with Project Cars and DCS World.
I'll start a build thread when I get into making it move. It's safe to say that few of the current parts will be used in my motion platform project. Thanks for the welcome.

By all means post in French, but please do also include an English translation via Google Translate. It saves other members time trying to work out who may need help and who is just posting a comment.

We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language group so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

We have many French members and there is a specific section for native language based social interactions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/#international-social-chats-and-conversations.155

    Good luck with your project.

Hi, i'm Pedro Pablo, 26 years old, i'm from Chile.

I am a programmer but I want to learn more languages, and maybe other thinks like electronics. Also I like to play videogames (FPS, Fighting, Rhythm and racing/simulator), I play drums and a hobbyist in electronics.

Recently i've broke up with my girlfriend, so I want to make a 2DOF simulator as a personal challenge and that's why im here, but i'm new in electronics, voltage, current, soldering, and everything else. Yesterday I've move 2 RC servos in Live For Speed, and that is a big progress for me.

Well, I'm a bit nervous because i'm thinking to make a lot of questions, please don't blame me if there's a dumb question, but like i've said before, i'm going to do this. I hope to stay here and try a lot of things, also to meet people and give some help.

    Hi all,

I'm a Physics teacher in a UK secondary school and have just been given permission (and funding) to build a motion simulator as a school project.

I've been lurking here for a while, thanks to everyone that shares their findings and experiences. It's enabled me to put together a miniature 'proof of concept' simulator using Live For Speed, Simtools, an arduino compatible and miniature RC servos which has helped in getting approval for the project.

I'm not sure yet what we'll be building as I'm still recruiting students and would like them to make their own decisions (with a little guidance). I suspect it's likely to be 2DOF, DC motors, arduino compatibles and monster motos. When we manage to blow up, melt or otherwise destroy anything, it'll be relatively cheap and easy to replace. I hope....

I'm sure I'll start a project thread as soon as we get started and no doubt I'll be posting questions soon enough.

    Regards, Simon.
