full system install from sctatch.

i had issues with project cars and my dk2 running at 8fps after updates could not solve the issues.

thought it was time for a full fresh rebuild of the system.

now keep an eye out for me as i will most likely forgotten what do to do now ! lol

but on a plus point i will take notes of any issues i have to help others.

this is my system.

h80 water cooler on proc
16gb memory (8gb usable) still trying to solve that bit.
60gb ssd ( system )
4tb save drive.
msi gtx970 4gb oc edition card.

Rig.

T500 wheel and pedals ( f1 and touring rims)
Triple 50" panasonic monitors ( only use one now due to rift never bother with triples)
DK 2 ( waiting for cv1)
headphones.
Frex based system 2 x scn5 actuators.
race seat.
6x aura bass shackers.

So far installed.

window 8.1
drivers.
runtime switcher ( the one posted in vr section works )
oculus home ( alterd to install games to large storage drive, oculus on c drive still WORKING)
steam installed ( just got to download games now )
dk2 running and works fine.



as my system before was learning and trying sooo many things and fixing issues i am hoping i get a smoother run getting it all to work now.
ive installed so much stuff and deleted ive lost count some worked some messed it upo.
but now i have done this i can work at it for now as a new start for having the right stuff only that working.
i never got to simtools and setting up the tunning of the motion as was never sure what i was doing but will defpo try this time round and get my head round it.
i have lost nothing really from it in regards from saves ect as i never got to play the game as always fiddling like you do, only ever messed about in practices testing.

hope you all don't mind when i get stuck and start going mad with my posts again ! lol

One reason I don't want to upgrade my mobo is that I will have to reinstall windows and drivers and everything else erghhhhhhh makes me sweat thinking about it.

P3D takes at least 2-3 hours to install everything

sometimes its a good idea too do a clean install after so much being messed with on building then make a full back up once setup.
thats your key then for future issues and then only small bits.
i still ain't anywhere near what im going to do but waiting for the new simtools with vibe support if its coming still.
so will do this now save and get ready for windows 10 and start again slowly as things are updated with runtime so another ssd will be on the cards.
i only need about 5 games on my system.

fsx.

then anything to do with the rift as it comes but not too many game just thge fun stuff.

Spare HDD and do boot swap , I have it set that way now , cause of Beta 2 testing in SimTools.
Can save some headaches.

yes earobbie i think thats the way big time i can run the windows 10 then too and be ready for they change before they charghe for it ! lol
