    Hi all

I have been looking online for answers on making a servo/stepper motor work on the back of a game telemetry so it can be used on a motion platform in the future.

I have no plans on what type of simulator this is going to be yet so at this stage, i just want to make the motor move for now

I am happy to buy whatever motor is needed, but would like to avoid using wiper motors or DC motors without builtin encoders.

I have a series of Parker motors and servo drives and also understand there are many closed loop aka hybrid units available online at low cost.

Anyway, before everyone starts jumping up and down saying how bad an idea is to use stepper motors because of torque vs speed, I would like to say that I would like to try anyway if i can get the answers.

so, the plan at this stage is to simply make the motor move left/right.

I understand there are a series of CNC controller boards, BOB boards that will bridge between the PC and the Motor Drives.

so the question are is anyone cares to help on answering

    1) Can these be boards used and if so, how?
    2) If an Arduino is the way to go, how can iI link these to the motor/ motor drive?

    Thank you

    Marco
