Measuring High Current

    I understand that a lot of wiper motors used in these builds can draw up to 15A peak current. The motors on my simulator continuously beep as if they do not have enough current or are struggling to move under load. I use a large 12V car battery(actually it is used for a double decker london bus) for power. Is there a way to measure high current loads easily before I purchase a psu or different motors?

    My Motion Simulator:

    I had one of my 100A shunts fail the other day. Was causing the Gamn Engine to drop out with hard hits from the motion and once i disconnected the one shunt the problem went away. Yes i checked Wiring and connections and that wasn't it. In the end my Amp/Voltage monitoring was cool, but not really needed.

    The current measuring is more of a diagnosis than anything else. I don't have any specs for the motors I am using so I have no idea how much current each one draws under load. Up until now I have just been assuming 15A peak as that seems like a common load current for wiper motors.
