I have a TrackIR. They are cool, although it demands a bit more powerful video card to keep game play smooth. It seems that I will not be able to use my Track IR hardware from Natural Point with this software.

Please do let us know how it goes for you and how much of your system resources it chews up.

I have been playing around with freetrack and it's rather cool, my frex simconmotion is currently out of action because the simconbase unit failed after only having the system working for 4 days after completing construction. I am now switching to x-sim and have ordered the USB to RS485 adapter.

The question is how does TrackIR or Freetrack work with an SCN5 setup is it best used with 2dof or 6dof?

I would imagine the seat movement causes too bigger problem with 6dof, I am planning to use this with rfactor.

    Thanks,

    Paul

I've been playing with FreeTrackNoir. (Free Track version that doesn't need IR diodes, but recognizes face - http://sourceforge.net/projects/facetracknoir/)

However, seems that on my setup it is not fast enough. It can easily loose tracking. I am not sure weather camera or CPU is too slow.
I'll give it a try with IR diodes (free track) and with better camera and let you know the result.
