    My Motion Simulator:
    3DOF, Arduino, Motion platform
I also use only one pc:

    Intel core 2 duo 6600 2.4 Ghz
2 gb XMS 2 corsair RAM (i tried several times to put an additional kingston 2gb (2x1) in but it doesn't work :sos: )
    Nvidia X260 GTX Videocard.
    Extra USB pci card.
    XP Pro

Everything works fine, though i might someday use a cheap laptop or something to use the profiler on.
With DIRT for example i get a 80 - 90 % cpu load, other games work flawlessly.
DIRT is very cpu heavy, i also tried without motion, but it does't make a huge difference.

Maybe with a extra pc i will get smoother motion?
Also sometimes one of my actuators loses usb connection on the extra usb card, so i put it back straight on the mobo and its ok now. (i hope)

    Cheers,

    Rob

The cause of my problem might be the RAM?
    I have 4X1GB= 4GB but memory module is 1GB 800MHz (PC2-6400 ).... very cheap ....

Do you run XP? i think it makes a huge difference.
Also the corsair xms 2 modules i got is special 'gamer' performance RAM, but also 800Mhz, you could try better RAM.
With a BIG game i still have around 700mb free of the 2 gb. (Like NFS Shift)

    Regards

ok i've changhed memory nodules. I've put two kingston hyper X (2x1gb) and rfactor now work well with 2 scn5 actuator..... but....... it work well with directx 7 and directx 8 .... if i set directx9 pc crash as before..

i've two ati hd 4890 in cross-fire, intel core 2 E6600 (and in the benchmark profile it work at 52%), 2 module of kingston hyperx, asus P5Q ..... pci slot for ati in crossfire works at 8x.....
