    Hello
This is my first post but I have been reading posts on xsim for months as I was building my sim rig. It is finally complete after waiting for months for parts to arrive from overseas due to covid. It uses 3 PT actuators which mount on a basic 80/20 rig I built modeled after a PX1 style. I purchased the Simtools Lic thinking I was all set and soon realized that I need Plugins to make this work. Unfortunately I just registered here last night. In hindsight I guess I should have been documenting and posting my build all along but had idea about coins or plugins besides who wants to see my basic driving rig. Now I am left with buying the plugins so I am confused as to the different levels when purchasing them. I basically only do Iracing so do the plugins expire after one year if I just buy a year?

We are enthusiasts here, we enjoy seeing, hearing about and where possible contributing advice to any project, so yes you definitely should have a build thread.

Plugins do not 'expire', some plugins do get broken by game updates, when the plugin relies on the hook method for data.

Plugin access is either via a membership package or forum activity coins, see here for details: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/coins-and-how-to-download-plugins.2/

Thank you for the reply noorbeast
I have about bankrupted my family with this build already which I am sure no one here can relate too :)
so trying to figure out which option to buy is important. So is Iracing one of the plugins which will need to be updated in a year because of "the hook for data method" ?

    Thanks for the info.
I am unable to install the plugins. Here is what I am doing.
    1. Closed all Simtools programs
    2. Go to Simtools folder in C drive and open the plugin updater
    3. When I slide a plugin zip file over it I get the circle with a line through it symbol.
    4. Checked in simtools and the only game shown is LFS
    Suggestions?

Are you using a licensed version of SimTools, as the demo version only supports LFS?

If you are using a licensed version of SimTools is it registered: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/how-to-register-simtools-2-0.9720/

Sometimes antivirus can prevent SimTools properly installing, or interferes with plugins.

    Thanks for the relpy
It is not a demo and I have bought a lic $50 and have it registered and when I "check it" the response say " Your Simtools v 2.0 DIY license is valid! Thank you for your support!"
I do have it open in windows defender both public and private so I have no idea what else to try? So I just drag the plugin zip files I downloaded into that updater without unzipping them right? Is there another way to install the plugins or suggestions to get this working?

Correct you just drag the plugin zip file on to the Updater.

@yobuddy do you have any further thoughts or suggestions for @Lesmore222 to try?
