    Boris here pleased to have found this site... Im currently new to the software interfacing of simtool and xsim and adruino uno r3 .. but ive really learnt quite a bit already from the forums available here, its been very helpful in the decision ive made in retro fitting my full scale f1 simulator ... not there yet but im confident with the sharp minds here that i can learn from ... THANX GUYS FOR ALL THE WORK YOU PUT IN....

    im still trying to figure out how to do the patch for rf2 and the communication between the adruino ....

    i keep getting a invalid path error when i try do the patch in the preset loader ,,,, the system is great i guess just my lack of knowledge thats slowing me down

    The rig was setup with skf dc brushed 24v motors and im running sick wire draw encoders ...only 2 axsis right now soon i want to mod to a 4axsis setup

    Hi Gadget999 ,,, soon im going to start a thread i promise just learning how to navigate still..

    i dont want to explain wrong so 2dof i undesrstand as 2 axsis movement

    so we build this set up few years ago ... with the lil knowledge .
    we hijacked signals directly from the mechanical moving part using a linear pot
    sending signal to a plc then out put via controller to relay and plc program reads wire encoders as a limit switch .... the motion not so true but hey its 1.2tons that we pivoting around there is butkicker under the seat wich also has 3 smaller actuators ... its time for the upgrade ..... adruino
    uno r3 Noorbeast been a great help in putting me on to the right steps ,,,, kinda stream lined the relevant info wich was a great help .... salute .. im going to start a thread soon on the upgrade soon i appreciate any tips ... im a machinist and fitter by trade .... new to software electronics

    just by the way im based in south africa .. you guys are good team here very helpful
