    Looks like a general .net framework error of some kind.
    I don't have enough info to tell one what's wrong, but a re-installation may fix the issue.

    It's really hard to say without more info, but did you by any chance install a new antivirus?
    It's all I can think of off hand, as I have not seen a invalid class error before.

    Doing a google search for "invalid class error", leads me to the idea that this issue is caused by either Windows Management Instrument (WMI) service not being started, or the WMI service is corrupted.
    As I have not seen this before, I would start with simply reinstalling SimTools v3 and see what happens.

    Have you tried the .net repair tool I linked above?

    No, it looks ok from here anyway.

    Maybe to prove it's not windows defender misfiring, maybe install avg free antivirus (as it will disable windows defender.)

    Although, you will not want to run it as admin under normal usage, can you register SimTools v3 if you run it as admin?

    Yes, I have run Net repair tool. When I downloaded simtools Windows defender was disabled. After running net repair tool do I need to download simtools again or should it have worked properly?
