I’m just starting to put together a 6 DOF rig using plans from Departed Reality. It’s going to take a while before I can post pics - just assembling one 500mm actuator at first to test and then progress with the other five once any issues encountered are sorted. Will post pics as progress is made.

Using 4080 profile for the actuators, and the usual 80ST motors and AASD-15A (the white version) drivers.
Xiang Long NSFSU ball screws which seem to be of excellent quality (at a price!)
3d printing everything required to be printed using eSUN PLA-ST (super-tough) which is printing beautifully.
For the bearing plates which I am going to try to use Igus 1180PF or 1150PF if the 1180 proves to be too difficult to print.

The motion sim will purely be used as a flight sim for helicopters.

Meanwhile, I have decided to use Thanos AMC Ccontroller and have a question…
Is there any reason or preference to use Simtools or FlyPT?

Both will work, but have slightly different approaches to the same goal, SimTools is aimed more at game data driven motion while FlyPt gives fine control via a pose based approach. Best to read the documentation and even try out both to see which suits you best.

Hi, I am Starting the same project. What software you prefer? Is there any easy way to run different simulations without knowledge of programming best regards Jörn
