Hello everyone. I have been looking at this page for a while and the great projects you do and I have decided to make one for the DCS flight simulator. My idea is to make a yaw2 type platform where gears move the Pitch and Roll on bearings. My question is, would a motor with a reduction to 120 rpm be enough? I haven't found much information on this type of platform. Thanks.

The assembly would be similar to this one of the Yaw2 as you can see the motor has a toothed gear where the seat is attached.

As a 738 backer, I think that building a platform in the likeness of YAW2 will be too difficult in amateur conditions. The YAW2 guys raised almost $3 million and have been improving the prototype continuously for three years :) they already have the third version :).
If you want to build a platform for DCS quickly and without too much cost then I would rather build a classic platform with two engines like mine .
