After Finishing my 2-dof chair last year, this project interested me.
So I started to collect my things, based on the solution of Roman Smoliakov.
Bought a few Hoverboard motors, Odesc 4.2 and a e6b2-cwz6c Encoder.
    Also found this tutorial: https://diy-blog.org/2023/08/23/diy...ck-lenkrad-aus-einem-hoverboard-motor-teil-2/

So first started to flash the Odesc with the FFBoard image... that was a very easy step...
I had some issues testing my Encoder...but RTFM ;) .. As the A- and B signal was on another part of the cable as in the DIY blog description.

    So next steps...
    - Connect motor
    - Arduino flash to recognise my Thrustmaster wheels: https://www.noelmccullagh.com/
    - find a proper solution to connect it properly to my Rig(so I can also adjust it)..

when all finished... I should have a
    - 2 DOF Rig
    - Loadcell
    - shaker engines(behind pedals)
    - DIY FFB Wheel

Question... everything seems to work. But....
One problem I have, is that when with no game, just on power...when I turn the wheel from left to right and let it loose it moves very aggressive to 1 side.and keeps spinning...what to do about this?
    :)
    thanx!!

    # solved..thanks to @SaltyEddy .... I made a mistake in the config...so in games it all worked ok, as the game can swap the force... but it was wrong in Windows...so instead of pushing to the middle...it pushed from the middle... :)

It is on 95% now.... all working.... Thanks to the FFBeast discord channel and great assistance of @SaltyEddy ...
The power and speed is enormous, I run it at approx 19v...with 30% power...tried it beyond 60%, but it is simply too strong :)

    Last things to do:
    - swap the steer to my F1 wheel,
    - game finetuning....
    - cablemanagement
    - sorting out a better solution of my Arduino(for the Buttons)... Checking out how I can make it wireless.

So...thanks to Xsimulator forum I now have:

    - a fully working 2 dof chair
    - Working buttkicker
    - vibration motors behind pedals
    - DD wheel
    - Load cell

    What a great project :)

The solution for me was to inverse the force direction....

Hello, good work. Check that you are using the FFBeast ffbb, what games have you managed to try them with and what feelings or opinions

Iracing, works perfect, truly great FFB
Assetto Corsa Competitione, also perfect, maybe a bit to exreme(had to lower the power, was simply too much)
F1 2023, works ok, but also with my former Thrustmaster, I do not like the FFB with this game
Rfactor 2, did not get it to work, but might be a simple thing
Automobilista 2, truly brilliant, very fine feeling, unfortunately the multiplayer is not great, otherwise I would play it much more.

Before this wheel I has a thrustmaster T300 and T500, but this Hoverboard wheel is soo much better(faster, more power, much more feeling)...

Thank you, you have really finished animating. I already have the motor and the encoder. I will order the rest and wait for it to arrive.

when i test my FFBeast wheel in windows i only get the stop in one direction is that right?

if i invert the forces the stop just moves to the other side.

i never have a stop both ways ?

    thanks
    Dan
