I want to build a direct drive wheel, I have now bought a broken hoverboard for 10€ with working motors and would like to keep it as cheap as possible due to my small pension.

Can these encoders be used and if so, at what speed?

And is it possible to use this motor driver?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Is there no one left here who has built a steering wheel themselves?
