Hello, I'm a beginner who has burned out three IBT-2 modules. I'm currently testing a 250W 75RPM wheelchair motor with a current below 18.5V. Previously, I failed twice by recklessly testing it under load (using 24V), which caused the modules to burn out. Now, I've detached the motor and am experimenting with it. However, I'm facing an issue where the potentiometer ratio in SMC3UTIL doesn't match, and when I manually adjust it, the motor only moves when the green line is below the blue line in the sine wave graph. When the blue line rises above the green line, the motor doesn't move downward but simply stops. Could I have burned out the IBT-2 again? I really need some help with this.

Can you please post a picture of your SMC3 settings.

I would suspect the control hardware may have a fault.

That aside how did your arrive at the SMC3 settings you have, particularly at this early stage where you are just getting it going? I would have expected something closer to the settings in the SMC setup instructions, with refinement of settings coming after basic movement is established and the hardware set up on the rig,

Thank you. I will purchase new control hardware and give it another try.
