    Hi

I am thinking... how about I mount my Slaw RX Viper rudders fixed in place.. and have pedals for car simulators on linear guide rails.. tucked away under the seat, to slide forward up next to the rudders when driving?

Rudders are often placed a bit further away from the seat, so these shouldnt get in the way for the pedals?

Anyone playing both playing both space/flight- and car-sims that can share their wisdom?

In my experience rudders with brakes need to be closer or you can’t effectively press the toe brake. YMMV

I have two 8 mm mounting locations on my rig. So I can swap pedals and rudders factor the MSFS can boot. I don’t have a lot of people using my rig so adjustment is a limitation but not so much for me.

I use a flight stick and separate throttle. The throttle is totally adjustable and hinged so that I can swing it out of the way to get out. Stick is adjustable in and out but that is limited by the wheel. Also hinged to swing out of the way.

I can provide more specifics of you are interested.

Would be interesting see some photos on how you solved the hinged throttle.
Do you have a quick-swap bracket, diy?

This shows the permanently attached screwed to the bottom of the wheel. The plate is vertical cut at a specific angle. IMG_6188.jpeg

The joystick is mounted with a single M6 screw. I used a screw with a knob on it so no tools required.

The joystick is mounted to a 4020 extrusion. Since there are no mounting holes on the bottom of the stick the mounting plate is glued to stick. Life hack: put blue tape on both surfaces to be glued and the pit superglue between them. Easy to remove but does not fall off.

my throttle is more straight forward. Just goes on the upright and swings away to exit and the is latched with a knob screw. Opposite side from the shifter.
