    Got allot of reading up to do.

    Looking into the option of Building a 6Dof system, and This Actuator Design is pretty much in the same line i was thinking, so i might just go with this design instead of drawing up everything myself and ending up with pretty much the same thing.

    Only one question. Would it benefit the Actuator if the Motor was actually on the Side using a Belt. This way the actuator is a little shorter and you could change the gearing to suit the rigs intention. Or would it just create more potential issues

    That configuration is viable, it really depends on the core design objectives, and the associated tradeoffs of somewhat greater complexity.
