I plan to upgrade to SimTools 3. I have been using SimTools 2 for Assetto Corsa, but I now want to play iRacing. The iRacing plugin isn't available for SimTools 2, or it costs 29 EUR. However, the plugin is available for free in SimTools 3. Therefore, the simplest solution is to upgrade. I also want to learn SimTools 3 and move all my setups to it in the future.

My question is, how does SimTools 3 know how many axes I was using? I was running 4 axes on a DIY system supplied by a maker. It connects the axis controls to the computer via a Silicon Labs CPx USB to UART Bridge. So far, it has been running well with SimTools 2.

My provider was write a command to SimTools 2 in Interface setting, such as ComPort, BitsPerSec, Data Bits, Parity, Stop Bits, Interface Output (X<Axis 1a>,<Axis2a>,<Axis3a>,<Axis4a>X) 5ms, and Shutdown Output (X<Axis 1a>,<Axis2a>,<Axis3a>,<Axis4a>) 20ms etc..

Thank you all for your feedback/suggestions/opinions!

Hello, could you please send some screenshots of the interface plugin for your simtools v2? I can refer to your screenshots and help you set up simtools v3.

    HI,

I installed SimTools v3 and it seems that there are problems with either my account or password.

My name is Francesco Rosso and I have been using the DIY license you sent me for SimTools v2 for several years. I was told some time ago that this license was also valid for v3, but I am unable to start the software. I changed my email address and updated my account profile on XSimulator.net. When in doubt, I tried the old email address without success. Could you help me solve the problem?

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Francesco Rosso

Thank you very much! I got the iRacing V2 plugin from my friend, so I'm not in a hurry to upgrade to V3. I might need your help later!

in simtools v3, surge is working correctly for gforce, but is backwards for acceleration. is there anyway to fix that?

Yes, the Dir settings determines which way each axis moves.

Yes, but if I’m getting both acceleration, and gforce are from the “surge” setting. How would I go about inverting just 1? Like keep acceleration the same, but flip gforce.

I can get the motion perfect in MSFS24, so not sure if it’s just a warthunder problem or what.

What axis do you mean when you say 'gforce'?
