    Hi all,

Firstly I'd like to apologise if this has been covered already, I've had an initial scan through the forum and didn't seem to find any answers. Basically I'm looking to convert my simulator from 3 TFT screens to a projector set-up and would like to run 1:1 scale to get full realism. Projector systems are pretty new to me, and I know that a good one is going to cost me a fair bit of money, but I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction regarding projector set up (whether to go for 1,2 or 3 projectors), brand etc. BTW I'm running rfactor on my simulator. I've also read up on curved vs flat screens, and to me the real difference is that the curved screen set up requires a warping/skewing code for the picture?

My next question is steering wheel systems, I'm running a logitech g25 with an uprated circuit to overclock the motors and allow for a slightly higher torque loading, yet I still feel this is not adequate compared to the real thing. i have tried a friend's simulator which runs a ball racing developments wheel and that feels a lot better regarding maximum torque loading. Does anyone know of any other wheels up there which are capable of higher torque loading?

Thanks in advance for taking the time out to read this, any advice welcome!

That's the modification I currently have on my g25 wheel, which includes the booster circuit, 48v power supply, resistors, fans and fuses. In my opinion this still isn't producing enough of a torque loading. I have been running this system since around february if that makes any difference?

    Thanks

    Julian

    Hi Julian,

I also have the ARC moded G25 and I find that is provides very good feedback when setup correctly in rFactor. I had to use both Leo FFB and Realfeel together to get the right feel in all the rFactor mods that I use. I do agree that it could be stronger but the only other alternatives to the G25 right now are the JL modded G25, Frex or ECCI wheels which will end up costing between $1,500 and $2,500 dollars.

Yes yes I agree, I am running both leo ffb and realfeel and have taken a fair bit of time to fine tune the feel. I also have access to actual f3 data, comparing and contrasting my sim data to the actual to get performance levels about right, etc etc. I've never heard of the JL modded g25, frex or ecci, but I ll google them now. I am quite impressed with the BRD wheel, very good loading torque.Have you guys ever tried that?

Don't get me wrong I am not all about torque loading, I do think that the G25 with the ARC mod gives very good feedback, but without the proper weight I don't feel that it is 'up there'

    Any advice regarding projector screens?

    Thanks for all your help,

    Julian
