    Hi guys.
I have been working on a new x-sim interface to support our GIMax gear indicator. The plan is to add support for the other products as well.
    But I need some advices.

This is what I have done so far: created GIMax interface, which has 2 analog outputs: gear position and rpm value.
Created 2 axis in the Math Setup in Profiler, one for the gear position and one for rpm.

Then I opened the Output setup, Synaptryx IO Output to assign the axis in the math setup to the analog outputs of the GIMax plugin, as explained here:

    http://www.x-simulator.de/wiki/Gear_Ind ... _mboRacing

But I soon realized that only 1 axis can be assigned to the interface outputs.

Now, I can live with that because the rpm value is used by the GIMax interface only to decide whether to switch the blinking on or off, but I was wondering if my approach is correct or there are better ways to send axis values (possible more than one) to the hardware.

    Thank you.

    Hi guys.
I think I have completed the interface for out GIMax gear indicator.
Can I post here the first version so people who own this display can test it and give some feedback?

The only issue I haven't solved is this: the gear position 0 from the simulator is the reverse for Lfs and neutral for rFactor.

I have tried to use the Calibration Offset for the Gear position axis in the Math setup, but it really doesn't work for me because it is a percentage offset. What I really need is a fixed value offset. Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

    Hi all.
I have solved all the remaining issues and now the plugin for the SymProjects GIMax display is working properly.

Instructions and download are available here:

    Any feedback is very welcome.

    Thanks

I have put the link to the website in the interface configuration screen.
    Are there other suitable places?

    Thanks
    Cristiano.

You can also place a logo in that same dialog.

I will add automated configuration support for these devices to the upcoming Commander software release.

@Cristiano, if you add an interface that I can set the max rpm / shift point, etc.. we can preset these as well, resulting in a very simple, yet powerful solution for end users.

    Nice work indeed!

    Prices seem fair as well.

But I'd rather had attached the shift light to the rev burner, instead of the speedometer.

    Keep up the good work.

Did anybody test it? I have all 3 devices. my SCN5 are controlled by a second PC. In the beginning I used the game pc, without any issues. So I decided to use X-sim on the game pc for the symprojects devices. BUT: Every few seconds my pc lacks, Frames goes from 180 FPS down to 30 and my steering breals for nearly a second. What's your experience with it?

    Hello Henning.
Can you find out if it is a plugin in particular to cause the frame rate drop or it happens with all three.

    Thankss

So back from businesstrip for only 1 day, so less time for testing but I connected my Symprojects Blackbox (Box with everything in connected internally with one powered USB Hub) to my SCN5 X-Sim PC. Once I connect the Symprojects Devices to this PC X-Sim CPU Gauge goes from 5% in Idle (max. in a simulator session was 19%) instantly to 105%. Why that? If there is some time left, I will connect all device each for each to the PC to find out, which fault this is...

    Thank you for the feedback.
I will investigate further if the code can be optimized.
When you try all devices each for each, remember to delete the corresponding dll from the X-Sim\Interface folder.

    Thanks
