    Frakk,
Thanks for taking a look at it. At least I got the right components. If I paid a little more then I should have then I will have to learn to shop around better. Just wanted to get things from as few places as possible. As for Digi-Key the tolerance combination with 1/4w on the resistors seemed to be the problem and when I asked fo r a quote these items were not availible. As for the Amega644, and crystals above 18.432MHz. it was my understanding that the 644 was going to be used later and I thought best to get it now. The higher frequency crystals may not be needed now but I thought better get them as I thought I read in these forums (somewhere) that if I go to the 644 then I need different frequency crystals (but I could have been mistatken). so my $150+ boards should have cost me $100 or less but at least that step is completed and was a price I was willing to pay to learn.

Thanks again for checking the list over.

I am almost finished (Pictures To Come) with my AVR Motion Controller (AMC) and Dual Mosfet H-bridge by Tronicgr. I am working on a plan B in case these don't work. As for a plan B I am thinking on going with 2 of the Motion Mind DC Motor Controller from Solutions-Cubed http://www.solutions-cubed.com/Solution ... /MOTM3.htm as outlined in the post of maxdamage simulator maxdamage-s-simulator-2dof-with-dc-gearmotor-t2600.html. I know having the specs for the motors would help but if I keep the motors to the specs of these boards lets say 24v / 200w est. 9.0A would they work in place of the AVR Motion Controller (AMC) and Dual Mosfet H-bridge by Tronicgr.

    Thank You.

Hi all, I hope not to be OT ...
I would use 2 cards motion mind (MOTM3) of solutions cubed to achieve a sim 2 DOF, SFGT wiper motors. to monitor the position I've read in other posts that you can also use the linear potentiometers. MOTM3 accepts the analog input up to 2.5k, potentiometers low cost have accuracies of 20% (10% in some cases). I wanting to use rotary incremental encoders, quadrature, I found the ALPS 15CPR at a good price (€. 3), second you would get a fair accuracy by connecting directly to the arm or should I make a gearbox with gear wheels / belts? (Exact MOTM3 that has a 4x digital multiplier integrated), thanks

errata corridge!!! MOMT3 in position control mode (MODE4) accept only encoders, no pots.
