    Hi all,

I'd like to know what everyone is using to run their simulators in terms of computer hardware...I'm just in the process of upgrading mine, and would appreciate some ideas. I'm currently thinking of purchasing this package from computerplanet.co.uk

    1 x 4 x USB 2.0 Ports
    1 x Motherboard Integrated 5.1 Sound
1 x Motherboard Integrated Ethernet Lan (Broadband Ready)
    1 x Cooler Master Elite 330
    1 x 1 TB (1000 GB) SATA-II HDD UDMA 300 7200 32MB
    1 x Samsung (SH-S223L) DVD +/- RW 24x - Black - Lightscribe (SATA)
    1 x Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - Silent
    1 x Windows Backup
    1 x Built & Tested CP
1 x Corsair Gaming Series 600W PSU - Low Noise
    1 x 1 Port Firewire IEEE 1394 (Built In)
    1 x Corsair 4GB XMS3 PC3-10666 1333MHz (1x4GB) - Lifetime Warranty (DDR3)
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 BIT (Genuine DVD & COA Included)
    1 x Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L (Intel P55)
    1 x Free WebCam - Headphones & Microphone
    1 x Professional Standard
    1 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 - 1 GB - (EVGA)
    1 x Intel Core i5 760 (4 x 2.8GHz) 8MB
    1 x Standard (5-9 Working Days)
    1 x UK Mainland
    1 x Standard - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
    1 x E-Mail/Live Help/Online/Phone Support

I intend on only running rfactor and might be upgrading to 2DOF platform, hence I'd need to run X-Sim simultaneously. If anyone could point out the short comings of this configuration I'd greatly appreciate it!

I think there's enough power in that configuration for anything you can imagine :)
    I'm running sender at Intel C2Duo E7200 2.5GHz / 4 GB RAM / Win7 64bit / ATI Radeon HD3850, and for profiler I'm using an old Celeron 1.7GHz PC / 128 MB RAM / XP Pro / Nvidia GF7xxx :)
So, I don't think you'll have any short comings with your choice.
Mind the fact that you'll need some kind of usb/serial converter if you want to use existing AMC board, so read before you buy one (not all are working ok).
If you didn't make the boards yet, you can wait for Thanos's new board with usb connection.

    That's a relief :) Even with a TH2GO set-up?

Never had a chance to try that setup :(
But why not, TH2GO is separate peace of HW, so don't worry about that if you can afford it (including multiple monitors).

Does X-Sim Software work with Win7 64 bit?. I don`t think so, or did something change in the meantime?.

Cheers for the help guys! I'm now thinking about going down the 3D route too! That would mean 3D graphics card am I right? Does running 3d really zap the computing power?

    Thanks
