    Hello everybody,
I'm from China I'm sorry I had very poor English with Google Translate.
I want k8055 + wiper motor to achieve my simulator, but I have a lot of problems:
1: Two days ago I spent 3 dollars for a second-hand k8055, the PIC is broken on it so I bought a 16C745, and the PC is connected to it nothing happens, except Power on light. I checked on it the circuit is normal, I do not know if it is need-driven.
    2. My English is poor, so the information is scanty on the forum. The national macro-control, I can not watch some videos such as Youtube, etc.
Who can send some settings on the X-sim video to my mailbox (lisi328@126.com) :sos:
    Very, very grateful! ! !
    Sincerely,
    Salute
    Reese

16c745 you just bough need to be programmed before you make it work. but i dont think k8055 factory will give you the hex. code you need.

I think you should get a new K8055 or a working one. Or better, since you are Chinese, I believe it would be easier and probably cheaper for you to build the Thanos control board and the H-bridge. Don't wait for the manufacturer of K8055 to release you their code, which I believe they won't. :) :)

    regards
    Sterex.

    thanks kubing, sterex
If so, then I had to give up my piece of k8055. I will compare the k8055 and thanos, and then determine which one

My advice is definitely get a new k8055 ;)

Sterex is kind of right, and kind of wrong...

If you get in touch with velleman through their forum, they are extremely helpful and I am sure they would help you to get your board working - why would they not? (they want you to buy more velleman stuff! ;) )
As for building your own Thanos control board, no way would that be easier! (and I would be suprised if cheaper...)
but to be fair, it is the better solution as it calculates position on the board rather than requiring software control by the pc (which can be slower) so worth the extra money and trouble...

If you like things simple, the k8055 gives you out of the box plug and play simplicity - and you shouldnt have to wrestle with the board to get it working!

My own relay solution is super cheap but requires some home build electronics... the sabretooth solution by adbgg is more expensive, but is a full out of the box solution - to get yourself started, you could do a lot worse than to simply invest in a new K8055 and sabretooth boards as adbgg...

If you are into electronics and dont have much spare money, try my relay setup - either of these solutions are completely capable of driving wiper motors, and as you will see from videos in adbggs thread, that is all you need to get a seat moving setup going!

    Good luck!

    Tim

    Thanks Tim,
Because of funding problems, I am now building Thanos control board.
I think it is not so simple. Now,Ghost appeared in my LCD(Between 1 and 3Pin I added a 10K potentiometer debugging little effect), And HB does not work.
I do not know where I'm wrong. By the way, I used the 5v motor testing and used IRFZ44 is right?
