player_name. PLR file and steam

Hello all

I having troubles finding the player_name . PRL file in games such as race race 07 and gtr evolution in STEAM.

Actually I have found them in race and race 07 (but not gte evolution - can t find even the directory)) but they seem to be encrypted when you open them with the notepad.

i am guessing these files are not the right one and they are protected and need to look somewhere else or maybe we need to change the fonts or remove the encryption of some sort ?

any idees ?? i am sure some one went through the same troubles

there are diffrent Locations for online and offline Installation.
In Steam you find the folder : Steam- Steamapps-Race07- UserName-

Hi the real issue is the fact that the file i find is not editable . I just can t read it with text editor . for some reason it is all geberish

in my case . GTr2 and GTL are fine. for those 2 simbin games , the PLR file can be opened and red with text editor.

any ideas ?

Race07-RaceOn-GTR Evo-STCC files are stored under the same installation path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\'your username'\race 07


The .plr file is not in Steam folder .... it's under your Documents:

Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\UserData\'your username'\yourusername.plr

the plr file i found in (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\'your username'\race 07) is it a file shared by the 3 applications

to be able to lauch i need the speed laucher found in x-sim/otherstuff but how do you define the game for instance Race and ansther time race 07 and another time gtr evo

Don't forget ... the .plr file is under My Documents not Program files ...

Raceon-STCC-GTR Evo are only extension packs for Race07. They are all installed in the same Race07 root folder.

You only need to launch Race07 .exe to get all the content ... Only the menus background will change depending on which .exe you start in your Steam menu. In the game installation folder you will only find Race_Steam.exe

The .plr file is unique and is used by all Race07 extension packs.

Hi Bleco and whoever reads this

I got it to work but still a slight bug

i open steam , select the game , I laugch the game, say yes, click play game on the sender , the game is detected by the profiler
except a question pops up about settings or parameter , if you respond yes or no the game stops if you ignore and let the game proceed it is OK . it is just a bit anoying

any idea what i am doing wrong ? is it a question of profile ?
