Wings of Prey Motion

    We would like to offer $500 for someone to get Wings of Prey working on XSIM.

    All we need is for the motion to replicate the angle of the aircraft so we can input it into our 2DOF motion systems. We don't need the body motion forces to be replicated.

    I've spoken with Gaiijin and they are too busy working on World of Planes and contacting them lately is near impossible.

    I tried the demo and seems to be a really cool graphics flight sim! Sure with my poor and old Geforce 8600gts 256mb the game run fast and WHAT graphics!! (really better than IL-2!!)

    I hope someone can make the plug-in (sorry dude.. I am not able to create geme plugins) because this game seems to deserve! ;)

    Public interface is fine if we could GET SOME HELP!!! Maybe this game could be set up with data via the Yoda program, but as all we get is read the manual, how the heck are we supposed to help a new member when current members cannot even get the assistance they have asked for - several times, and yes, we have read the manual!

    Sirnoname, The X-sim concept is awesome and I appreciate the motion software being available for everyone to use and believe you hold the key to unravel the Yoda mystery. It all looks like a technical mine field for those like me who have no extra brain power to assign to the task. I've got $500 as the bounty, that will buy you a lot of batteries for Yoda's light saber :D

    We don't have any motion info available from Gaijin.

    Wings of Prey is such a great game/simulation. If someone is willing to step up to the plate and provide a working solution we would be more than happy to pay them for it with the rest of the simulation community benefiting as well.

    If IL2 has been done then hopefully someone can get it to work with WOP as we sure can't at our end.

    I have watched a yoda instruction video, easy enough, and I do not have c++ experience. Its when I have tried different ways to get yoda to work and it doesn't! Thats frustrating! Its stops the force feedback from working on the game, so how the heck am I supposed to read the data with the yoda program then?!?.

    Well the guys from CKAS Mechatronics have taken up the challenge and managed to use cheat engine to extract the data. From what I understand they'll integrate the motion data direct to their software.

    There would be nothing more impressive than flying a B17 bomber in their 6DOF simulator that is totally enclosed with 180deg of visuals. I've been in it and couldn't believe how realistic the experience felt with Microsoft ESP. Problem is I don't have the $230-$250k to buy one.

    One of our techo employees (specialises in computer management and networking) loaded up WOP and ran the X-sim software with the IL2 plugin and tried to observe if there was any data being extracted . But he couldn't see anything happening.

    From what I can gather (I live 400km away) he couldn't figure out how to get the cheat engine to extract the data from the game and ended up getting fairly frustrated with the whole concept and gave up.

    We weren't aware of the Yoda demo video.

    We have emailed Gaijin whether there is an SDK available and have received no response. I have received no information or a hint of an SDK. This is understandable as they would be focused on the latest product release World of Planes that will earn them money rather than fiddle around with a small request like ours.

    From my original discussions with them 6months ago they had indicated that motion output to the CKAS specification was possible.

    ok guys had a little time to play with demo.

    Found pointers for Senspitch , Sensroll and Sensyaw just have to find the value they refer to, plus theres the horizon_pitch, horizon_roll.

    So when time allows i will investigate a little further to find exact values.
    Should be achievable.

    I had some of the info mate , but these w%^$s wont share the info back , they just took it and ran and now charge people a fortune to use there useless CKAS units with wings of prey. Think its a game we need to look into , so the commercial guys wont have an edge any more, and no I didnt get a thing back for the help.
