I asked Blue Tiger and they said no but I'm wondering how difficult it might be to replace their controller. At the end of the day, I assume its just 2 motors.

All depends on what the motors are, another way around this is to put a listener app on the usb port so we can see the data that's being transferred on start up, sending a position and shutdown.
From there we can easily develop an app to run their controller and not change the unit in any way so not void the warranty on the expensive machine.

Now thinking back someone else posted some frame pictures of a blue tiger , I think, sorry can't remember how that project finished or whether it was just some pictures.

Post some pictures of the internals , pics of motors and any label on them and I feel the right people will advise you which way to go.

Be nicer if the developers of the blue tiger let us build a compatible plugin so their customers can use SimTools, suppose they might be scared we do it better, lol.

Thanks for the reply... I don't have a Blue Tiger but I'm considering the purchase. I'm fairly certain I could build a chair mover but this is for a space sim so need more range and a full rig. Honestly, I'd rather throw money at the problem. The Blue Tiger is $7500.
