Here I am.jpg Yes, I have a very good argument against buying it: Build it yourself. Just because it's fun to build! Take an old keyboard apart and you have 100+ different buttons for any function of your favourite simulation

DSD Buttonboxes (Derek Speare) are cheaper as I recall, and he has a lot of them to choose from.
I wanted to buy a CSW Panel, but then I've took one of the button boxes as they were cheaper, BlackMax, it was just enough, two toggle switches for ignition and start, 5 rotary encoders and 19 buttons.

Otherwise, if you want to go DIY route, you can get enough from one or two cheap 5-10$ gamepads, tear them apart and connect your buttons..

i would have to get a better phone for that and that's too much cost.
Hacked dpad button box cost me $30 to make I think, may look a little rough, but does the job. Do you see touch screens in race cars? Usually no. Its difficult to use a touch screen on a motion sim, hence a button box, less room for error.
    But each to their own

    EDIT
disregard the rough shifter attached to button box

I use the touchscreen while in the menus and the pits. Rarely need to touch it during the games.

I actually tend to have the iPad showing the Speedo via Sin:Speed, so will than likely make a button box eventually.

*reaches for touch screen, hits bump, gets shaken by simulator, hits wrong touch screen or activates 4 things at once, crashes car in game*

Have now a button box, tablet is used as a dashboard. Bottons and switches give me more feedback than a touch screen. The touch screen solution is not bad until then you have one button box.
