Im curious if there are any issues with the bundle or resale companies. They all seem to use paypal, but the info they ask for is not consistent. For example, bundlestars only uses an email verification, while bluedroid asks for quite a bit of info like addresses and openly shows your IP address.

Just curious of the actual site security and info sharing they do.

    Any input?

It depends on how you choose to setup and integrate Paypal into a given web system.

PayPal provides an API to hook into their service. In a custom web system or even if you use a common web system, say Wordpress or Joomla, then likely a third party developer has created a module for PayPal integration, in many cases more than one developer. How they choose to implement the PayPal API, what option they do or don't give the webmaster for controlling how it is used in the system often determines what client info is collected at to who it gooes. On the web system side this will likely be related to the customer and shipping functions, the actual transaction data resides with PayPal.

Any reputable site using PayPal will have terms and conditions about what data is collected and how it is used. Some sites do on-sell client data or give access to clients, particularly in the form of Adsense. Google actually insists there be terms and conditions relating to Adsense style data.

I use both "TheBlueDroid" and "Humble Bundle" without issue.

As for a site showing your IP address, that is just the tip of the iceberg.
I could show you data collected from computers / sites that would make you gasp.

I'd shop online ANY DAY than give my credit card over in a Cafe and have them walk out the back with it...

My question was the security around the bundle sites. Ive purchased games for my kids from various sites and ended up with mailboxes full of spam, popups and even a virus that got by Norton (spent quite a while online with them having control of my computer fixing it). Nothing aimed at this site, just have had issues with purchase sites. I think Noorbeast answered it well.

    Thanks
