    Hi All,
Ages since I posted anything here, but I have been lurking a fair amount.

I want to attempt to build a rig for sim racing that only produces Sway and yaw, or side load and traction loss, the mechanicals of this are something I am perfectly fine with, but I wan to ensure that I can utilise current control software to link this to game ssuch as Assetto Corsa, BeamNG, Dirt Rally, etc.

I have been looking at SimHub and I see that SMC3 can be selected on there, but I am not sure if this would let me setup profiles that only used the two axis?

If anyone knows if this is easily possible for two motors, with BTS 7960's and an Arduino to be driven via SMC3 and/or SimHub in this way it would be greatly appreciated

    Kind regards,
    James

A 2DOF rig for sway and yaw would be easy to build because you can put it on shopping cart wheels and simply push it sideways with two actuators, one in the front and one in the rear.

But you have to realize that it's not possible to simulate a constant side force such as driving in a circle all the time with only sway. So I think you'd rather want yaw and roll.

BTW, a combined sway and roll movement could be implemented with a pivot point above the rig as I suggested some time ago.
