    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, 3DOF, DC motor, Arduino
    Hi All Jono here
been looking around the site I'm inspired enough to have a go
I started to look for a few bits and pieces and I found a few bits and pieces now to put them together and make it move

My plan is a 2dof with Traction loss
I will try to keep it pretty simple seat shaker design

I'd like to start with thanks to the members on this site for the inspiration
I'm sure there is going to be some questions

    Also like to thank the
    YouTube content creators especially

this is what i have so far

I scored 3 motors for $50 which leaves me no excuse not to build a 2 dof with TL sim

    Found these on FB marketplace
2 of them have stickers with
    model zy7712z
    200w
    24v dc
    25:1 gearbox

I haven't seen these specs for the motors @ 4200rpm unloaded speed - the ones I've seen on motion dynamics and other builds are 3600 rpm - Has anyone used these specific motors before ?

the third motor appears to be the same but different sticker

Im guessing that there are the motion dynamics motors,

    I have an Aduino R3

    I have 3x Dual BTS7960 high current (43 A) H bridge driver.

I have 4 HP 1200W Power Supplies in order to make 2 separate 24v power sources

I found this Youtube on how to get 24v out of 2 of these

    I have a heap of 8080 aluminium extrusion 7x 2.5m lengths
probably bit of overkill in regards to strength but will use it for a base and monitor mount

I have a bit of 4040 and 4545 aluminium i will use in frame somewhere

Will use a bit of steel where required

I'm using a Ford falcon tail shaft i got for $50 from a mechanic for the universal joint

    20231130_164357.jpg

as seen in the image above I have welded steel plates to the Uni joint

I've already cut of the centre bearing and bracket but I'm interested to know has anyone thought of using the centre bearing under the uni as some form of YAR or traction loss ?

I have a seat from a Mercedes I am concerned its a bit heavy probably 20-30kg time will tell.....

I'm thinking I may use the Seat rails as my pedal mount so I have adjustability without messing with COG to much
