    Hello!

    Please help with advice.
On my stand 2dof Cheetah hop I can't make a normal amplitude for engines.
In smc3utils I set limits to 100 max limit/clip imput. If you put less, then the thrust may touch the plate and if the engine does not turn off, then there may be unpleasant consequences.
In sim tools there are limits of 70%, which is very small and greatly limits the movement of the axes. That is, the value of the limiter is very far away. But as soon as I increase the value more than 70%, then one of the engines (one or two) periodically turns off during the race. Although, according to the test in sim tools, the limit is still very far away. What could be the problem?
I admit that due to the fact that the engines do not have a stop and their zero resistance is very weak (the gearbox is easily scrolled by hand), then at the time of operation at a large amplitude, the engine simply scrolls beyond the limit by inertia. What can be tweaked?

    Thank you!

    PS: Sorry for my English.

Can you please post pictures of SMC3 running Sine.

You should set the limits in SMC3 rather than SimTools.

Can you please post pictures of all of your SimTools settings.

Was the rig properly balanced, with the user and all peripherals on board: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-of-gravity-to-balance-a-motion-simulator.55/

When the motor turns off is it triggered by violent in game motion, a USB disconnect (normally audio warning), or perhaps PSU shutdown?

When the engine is turned off, there are no extraneous sounds, the power supply continues to work. Usb won't turn off. And the second engine continues to work in the game and I do not always immediately notice that the second engine is turned off. Under the rack's own weight, when turned off, the thrust goes far beyond the working limits. I turn off the power, level the rack, bringing the motor axes back within tolerance, run scm3utils and the motors immediately center properly.

Q: Sim tool limits are expressed as a percentage. Are these percentages from the maximum encoder travel or from the value set in smc3utils?

    70%
    70%

These are the operating settings at which the rack operates stably. Problems start at >70%

For power supplies. There are two for 24V 360W. Engines 24V 250W. There is a stock. Bts7960 each in a ventilated case.

Thank you very much for your help!
The problem was solved by redistributing the % along the axes Axis1 Axis2 as mentioned in your links. It is logical that there cannot be a distribution of % dof along the axes greater than 100% in total. Now everything is stable.

Keep in mind that depending on the speed of the output shaft you will have to adjust the clip zone, this motor has more rpm than a wiper motor.
