2DOF motion sim - for flight sim - Wooden frame

    Good day everyone,

    I am slowly building my motion sim, which is mostly based on SCK Gaming's design - motor, potentiometer, arm etc.
    However, I am building it with wood, as it is easier for me.

    I am using the wheelchair motor at 75 rpm 24V 250W and since i'll be using it mainly for flight sim, i was wondering what would be the ideal -ve and +ve deflection of the motor arm to achieve a noticeable effect.
    The platform is compact and will have clearance issues.

    Assuming that the arm will be horizontal at rest position, i am planning a 25 degrees down and a 35 degree up (from the initial horizontal position).
    - Please let me know if i need to account for dips (to the original 25 deg down) as the motor changes direction. (and considering wood might have some flex also)
    - and whether 25 deg down and 35 deg up is too much.

    Around 38 degrees up and down is about the limit before physics dictates a significant degradation of effective torque utilisation.
