    Hi.

I want to make my own seat mover like the NLR V3 or similar.
I have no clue to where to start but I want to make it a project I can finish.

I would really love any suggestions on how to make this as simple as possible but working well.
The rig I am working with is a Next level racing f-gt. I know many of you dont recommend using this rig or this seat but I am willing to give it a go.

What do I need to purchase to get this working, like motors, controllers etc?. any links to aliexpress is great as I do most of my shopping from that site.

Also a step by step guide would be great, I know I am asking alot here but i really want to do this project but I dont know where to start. Hope someone here can help me and I am most thankful for all the help I can get.

    Best Regards
    Tom

You have come to the right place.

There are lots of member projects to check out and draw inspiration and ideas from from: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

While a bit dated now, as I would go with servos if doing it now, my own rig is an example of a compact design, as it seems that is a design you are wanting to consider: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/dx-compact-simulator.5866/

You will find plenty of helpful information in the FAQs to get you started, in particular check out the SimTools, fundamentals of motion , and the design sections: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

You can also search for specific types of projects/information using the Google Custom Search function on the Recent page: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there, including about possible approaches, and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Good luck with your sim project.
