    Hello XSimulator Community,

After reading about all the interesting projects here I was inspired to build my 2DOF servo driven model simulator.

Build materials come from what I had lying around (mostly old RC equipment) and include

    Scraps of wood
    1.5mm carbon fibre rod
    Helicopter ball joints
    micro servos
    Arduno UNO

Arduno program is from EArobbie's post, although from memory there was a missing semi colon when I tried to compile it.

Live for Speed and the demo model of Simtools has confirmed that I can make something this size work and scaling up looks relatively straight forward. However I think JRK will be my preferred solution as I found troubleshooting code an unpleasant and frustrating experience.

My biggest difficulty was realising the Live for speed needed to be run before patching. I spent a week trying to
    work this out.

Second biggest was figuring out why the Arduno Com Port wouldn't automatically install -Still don't know why but one day it just decided to work on a PC restart.

I now have a working model simulator, many friends telling me I need to either build one they can use, and other friends telling me to go on a diet to use this one.

Thanks for providing such an interesting forum to learn some new things on and once I save my pennies I think I will buy a 3dof simukit to go with the recently ordered Rift.

Frustrating though it may be most of us learn something new along the DIY path, great to see you hang in there and get the model working...now for the giant leap from prototype to full scale!

Thank you for the kind words and I must admit the model approach has given me confidence that full scale is acheivable.

Will be following the builds here and hope to contribute with my own, (once I save sufficiently to afford it).
